Reginald Peter "Reg" Faust - 1942–2026
Passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, at the age of 83, listening to music with his family at his bedside. Reg is survived by his sister Ingrid (Cal) Johnson, his children Catherine (John) McNally, Christine (Andrew) Sloss, his step-children Ray Connolly, Rose Connolly, Jane Gardner, and Ed Connolly, his grandchildren Rachel McNally (Yuhao Qiu), Nathan (Grace) McNally, Samuel McNally, Imogen Sloss, Elliot Sloss, and Adriel Sloss, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and his ex-wife Kaye (Jim) Adams. Reg was predeceased by his wife, Mary Jane.
Reg had seasons of work as a nurse, a social worker, and an author. He enjoyed learning and went on to receive his Master of Divinity from Queen’s University. He had a life-long love of classical music, Shakespeare, dogs, good food, and anything to do with Newfoundland and Canada’s North.
Special thanks to the communities of Pleasant Manor, Virgil, and Grace Mennonite Church. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service for Reg will be held at Grace Mennonite Church, St. Catharines, on Saturday February 7, 2026 at 11:30, with Rev. Darrell Winger officiating. A reception will follow. Those unable to attend the service may watch a livestream of the service at www.facebook.com/morseandson.
There will be a private interment after the reception. Arrangements have been entrusted to Morgan Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee. Memories, photos, and condolences may be shared at www.morganfuneral.com
