So excited! Our TEAM has requests from three schools for our Free Books for Kids program. This FREE and FUN ongoing offer has a variety of options to pick from – or pick all of them!
A) 25 books for toddlers at kids at home. (Times as many as you want!) B) 50 books for kids learning to read. C) 50 books for kids who are already readers. Times as many as you want! The more you order, the greater the variety. D) 25 Read to Me Plushies that kids can also take home (when available.) They have cute scarves. E) a large “Reading is Beary Fun” bear for the classroom or library or display. (Times as many as you want.) F) Stickers as a reading reward – as requested. G) And to sweeten the pot, a fun mug of individually wrapped Swiss dark chocolate squares for the office! 😊 Here is a lovely note from a Librarian / Teacher: -> Thanks for reaching out again. I would love some books for kids learning to read and kids that are already readers. I didn't have any left over from either school last year, so they were very popular! If you have any read-to-me bears, we could use some at _____. I kept the ones that your sent for _____ and the kids absolutely love having a stuffed bear to read to and snuggles with when they're in the library. Thank you for everything that you do! It really makes the kids' days and keeps them smiling. The school kids love this! <- This brings our total to 1275 books, and 175 read-to-me bears/plushies, and 11 big “Reading is Beary Fun” bears placed in 8 schools. We can serve many more! We have lots of books, especially for kids who are already reading! We welcome donations of newer kid’s books (year 2000 and later) and cute clean plush toys (especially teddy bears.) If your area school isn’t aware of the program, let them know and let me know. / jan

Having books in the home is proven to positively benefit children in a myriad of ways. A two-decade long study found that the mere presence of a home library increases children’s academic success, vocabulary development, attention and job attainment. Why a large TEDDY BEAR? To bring attention to the FREE BOOKS. Did you know that reading to plushie can boost confidence? Studies show that as children get older and begin to learn to read, reading aloud to cuddly toy can be a great way to practice without any worry of judgement.
