September 21, October 5, 19 we will be considering the Kairos Apartheid study material.
November 2, 16, 30, December 14 we will be considering a topic selected by the group. More information to come.

Study Group #2
Beginning September 28th, this group will meet on the Sundays when there is a coffee hour.
The focus will be “Practical Christianity” and take a less theological and less textual analysis approach. The first part of the study will be looking at one chapter of Titus, 1st Timothy and 2nd Timothy per study (and in that order of readings). The second part will be making applications of the text.
For more information, please connect with Kevin McCabe.

Spring 2025 Adult Study (Sunday School) opportunities at Grace Mennonite Church.
The Adult Study Group will begin its spring session of 5 classes on March 30th. Session leaders encourage you to join us.
Our goals for the group are:
* to better grasp the Bible’s call to mission from an Anabaptist/Mennonite understanding
* to read and discuss essays from the recently published Anabaptist Community Bible that address challenging issues of the day from a Christian stance
* to offer resources that help us pursue peace and justice
At our first meeting on March 30th we want to hear what you find helpful in being a faithful Christian. Please bring your ideas with you. We will also share a number of possibilities. We have a sample we encourage you to read for our first session, “Early Anabaptist Understandings of Scripture” by Stuart Murray. Please ask Ester Funk ([email protected]), to put a copy in your church mailbox. Or you can ask Laur Steven ([email protected]) to send you a copy via email.
There are plans for a second adult Bible study group to start in September. We are considering a study group with an eye to practical Christianity. The thrust would be along the lines of how do New Testament concepts such as the "Kingdom of God", and others of that sort, help us to deal with personal and social issues such as stress, anxiety, tariffs, and daily living in general. What teachings of Jesus and Paul seem especially useful or applicable in the 21st century? Stay tuned for more information from Kevin and Sue McCabe and Mac and Julie Plunkett.
